AI AUDIO FILTER

AI audio filter and vocal remover

Use Audiofilter as a free AI music filter and vocal remover to split a song into two tracks: isolated vocals and instrumental accompaniment. Listen to either stem for singing practice, karaoke or editing. Processing runs in your browser, and results vary with the recording. Songs up to 5 minutes.

VOCAL SEPARATION STUDIO

AI audio filter workspace

Drop in a song and let the Audiofilter audio filter separate vocals from the instrumental. Audition both stems on a shared timeline before you download.
Max 5 minutesLonger audio is rejected before processing starts — everything runs on your own device, so trim the file and run it in parts.

WHAT YOU GET BACK

What the audio filter creates

The Audiofilter audio filter rebuilds one mix as two independent tracks, each one auditioned and downloaded on its own terms.

Separation is a reconstruction, not a rewind. On dense or heavily processed mixes you may still hear faint traces of one stem inside the other — Audiofilter is honest about that rather than promising a perfect split. It splits vocals from accompaniment — it does not isolate individual instruments, and it is not a noise reducer.

WHAT IS UNDER THE HOOD

Built on Spleeter

The separation here is Spleeter in its two-stem configuration, running through sherpa-onnx compiled to WebAssembly.

Two models arrive, one per stem, and both run on your own device — which is why a separator of this class can live in a browser tab instead of behind an upload queue. Neither the song nor anything derived from it is sent anywhere.

Spleeter is released by Deezer under the MIT licence; sherpa-onnx is Apache-2.0. Both are open source, and neither asks anything of you for using the results.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

Is this AI audio filter for vocal removal free to use?

Yes. The Audiofilter audio filter for vocal removal asks for no account, no sign-up and adds no watermark. It runs as a static web page, so you can split as many tracks as your device can handle.

Are my tracks uploaded to a server?

No. Decoding, model inference and export all happen inside your browser through WebAssembly and Web Audio. Audiofilter never sends your audio anywhere, and the working data is released the moment you close the tab.

Which stems do I get?

Two stems: an isolated Vocals track and an Instrumental track with the vocals removed. Each stem can be previewed on the timeline and downloaded separately.

Can I use it to make a karaoke or acapella track?

Yes. The instrumental stem works as a karaoke backing track and the vocal stem as an acapella. Only separate music you own or have the rights to use.

Which audio formats are supported, and are there any limits?

You can load any format your browser can decode, including MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG and Opus. Songs must be 5 minutes or shorter and under 300 MB — separation runs on your own CPU, so a longer track is rejected before processing starts. Stems export as WAV, MP3 or AAC through a local FFmpeg encoder.

How long does a separation take?

It depends on your CPU and the length of the track, because all inference runs on your own machine. The AI model is downloaded once on first use and then reused from the browser cache, so later runs start immediately.

Which browsers and devices work?

Any recent desktop or mobile browser with WebAssembly support, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. A desktop machine is recommended for full-length songs, since separation is CPU and memory intensive.
