Free online bass booster

Bring out the low end of your audio

The bass booster raises low frequencies to give kick drums, bass lines and deep sound effects more weight. Use it when an existing recording sounds thin and you want more low-end presence without changing its playback speed or pitch.

Bass gain controls the strength of the boost, and bass frequency controls how far up the frequency range it reaches. Start with a small increase, adjust the frequency while listening, and use output gain to balance the final level. The tool boosts bass already in the recording; it cannot recreate missing bass or overcome a speaker’s physical limits.

How to use this effect

  1. Choose a recording or try the demo.
  2. Adjust the settings. The effect updates automatically; compare the result with the original.
  3. Choose an output format and download your audio.

Start with a gentle boost and listen on headphones or full-range speakers. A higher shelf frequency affects more of the lower midrange. Reduce output gain if the result sounds too dense.

Privacy and sound quality

Your recording stays on your device. Effects run locally in WebAssembly. Effects regenerate automatically after settings change. The preview and download share the same processed audio. The soft limiter protects against digital clipping.

Time stretching can introduce artifacts, especially at extreme settings. Processing long recordings needs more memory; start with a short clip on mobile.

Frequently asked questions

How do I boost bass without muddying the sound?

Start with a small bass gain and adjust the shelf frequency while listening. A higher frequency also affects more low-mid detail. Reduce bass gain or output gain if drums and voices become less distinct.

Can a bass booster recover bass that was never recorded?

No. This tool increases low-frequency content already present in the recording. It cannot restore missing instruments, repair distortion or make small speakers reproduce deep bass.
