Explore a slow, low-pitched vaporwave sound

The vaporwave effect turns a recording into a slower, lower-pitched mix with a long reverb tail. Its starting settings use 65% speed, pitch linked to speed and 80% reverb for a hazy, spacious result.

Try it on sustained melodies, synth textures or ambient loops, then adjust speed and pitch to suit the material. Reverb amount controls how prominent the space becomes; decay and tone help shape the tail. Reduce reverb if words or rhythmic details become difficult to hear.

How to use this effect

  1. Choose a recording or try the demo.
  2. Adjust the settings. The effect updates automatically; compare the result with the original.
  3. Choose an output format and download your audio.

The default uses 80% reverb with a longer tail. Lower the reverb amount for a clearer mix, or shorten the decay when notes overlap too much.

Privacy and sound quality

Your recording stays on your device. Effects run locally in WebAssembly. Effects regenerate automatically after settings change. The preview and download share the same processed audio. The soft limiter protects against digital clipping.

Time stretching can introduce artifacts, especially at extreme settings. Processing long recordings needs more memory; start with a short clip on mobile. Reverb adds a tail to the output.

Frequently asked questions

What are the vaporwave preset settings?

The starting preset uses 65% speed, linked pitch, 80% reverb and a four-second decay. Lower the reverb amount or shorten the decay if sustained notes overlap too much.

Can I keep the original pitch in a vaporwave mix?

Yes. Choose Keep original pitch, or use Custom pitch to set the register yourself. The effect shapes tempo, pitch and space; it does not generate new instruments or a new song.
