8D AUDIO
Free 8D audio converter for headphones
Hear music move around you
Create a moving headphone mix from a song, an ambient loop or a sound effect. The 8D effect changes the sound reaching your left and right ears, so one source seems to circle your head.
Choose a 6–30 second rotation, reverse its direction or hold the source at a fixed angle. Compare the spatial mix with your original recording in the paired players, then save WAV, MP3 or AAC. Audiofilter processes everything locally in your browser.
Use stereo headphones to hear the direction cues clearly. A shorter rotation cycle makes the sound move faster; fixed position keeps it at one angle. Output volume changes both the preview and the export, while loop repeats only the preview. The result is a stereo file that you can play in a normal audio player.
Demo music is synthesized in your browser.

What does 8D audio mean?
8D audio is a stereo headphone effect that makes a sound seem to travel around your head. This tool uses measured head-related impulse responses (HRTF) to reproduce direction cues. It does not add eight audio channels.
What do the settings change?
A shorter cycle makes the source move faster. Fixed position holds the source at the selected angle: 0° is front, 90° left, 180° behind and 270° right. Loudness normalization sets a consistent input level; output volume controls both the preview and exported file. Loop applies to preview only. Download renders the complete audio once, from the selected starting angle, using the current settings.
Does my file leave my device?
No. Audio decoding, spatial processing and WAV export happen locally. Supported input formats depend on your browser. Use the audio converter to convert unsupported recordings to WAV first.
Why do I need headphones?
Use stereo headphones or earbuds so each ear hears its own audio channel. Loudspeakers mix both channels in the room and cannot reproduce the intended binaural effect.
